All of these examples require an understanding of the fundamental principles of design so that they can me followed or broken.
The Graphic Design diploma at Qantm London has a modular system; some modules teach core creative skills and others have more of a theoretical emphasis. As well as learning fundamental design practices and how to deal with clients and survive in the industry, students develop key areas such as typography, photography, illustration and motion graphics, in order to gain a rounded practical overview of design. Along the way students will become proficient in many aspects of computer use, from operating systems to page layout, photo manipulation, fontography, Illustration, 3D, video and motion graphics.
