Qantm Courses
Game Design + Development
Qantm's Game Design + Development course helps position students ahead of the pack when it comes to careers in this industry. The course structure allows students to combine the fundamental modules (shared with the 3D Animation major and including pre-production, animation, graphic editing and game history) with advanced options that deal specifically with all levels of game production including
programming (from basic to high level languages like C++), artificial intelligence and neural networks. They will also learn about the development of game environments, mathematics for game programmers, and graphics programming using OpenGL and DirectX and shader techniques.

3D Animation
3D Animation is, of course, a fiercely competitive area to get involved in, so the Qantm course is designed to give you an advantage over the many self-taught animators out there who have simply learnt from the manual. On a Qantm course both practical and conceptual topics are covered, real-world and
hands-on projects are encouraged and close industry involvement ensures that the methods taught and software programmes used are totally relevant and completely up to speed with what’s going on in the greater industry.

Web Design + Development
Ideally candidates will already have a passion for design, websites such as Flickr, Last.fm and Facebook, and want to expand their technical and theoretical skills on top of developing their personal style and that all-important portfolio.
Active experimentation and creative development are encouraged with qualitative teaching methods giving students the knowledge and skills required in this fast-changing industry.

Graphic Design
In this programme you will learn professional graphic design concepts and become proficient in key areas of design such as print, advertising, design for web, and motion graphics. Graphic design is visual communication. As a graphic designer, you often have a responsibility to convey a message to an audience. This could be as important as a vital motorway sign whipping by us at high speed, or as valuable as an advertising campaign for a massive brand.
A graphic designer could work on the layout of a political article in a newspaper, or on anti-political typographic graffiti. All of these examples require an understanding of the fundamental principles of design so that they can me followed or broken.
